Frosted Design Challenge #18

I was going to enter this into the Frosted Design Friday Challenge this week is about using plain cardstock.  No patterned paper allowed. But I ran out of the green for the leaves and had to go hunting for some.  I have still added the link because there is some great layouts to check out.

The leaves I used were from Paper Doll Dress - ups. (I think) Dinosaurs.  It was a lot of fun sorting out the all the leaves.  It took ages.  :-)

The title was done using gyspy font.  Love the welding function on the gyspy - you have to try it if you haven't.

Thanks for looking.

Happy Valentines Everyone

Valentine's Day is just another day in this house.  We will be lucky if either of us gets a card.  I would rather hubby remember our wedding anniversary.  lol

But after looking at all your beautiful blogs, I decided to make an effort.  So here goes.  This is want I gave hubby for valentines day.

I had it all planned out on the gypsy. I love that little machine.  Cut it out and filled it with heart shaped chocolate.  It was so easy.  I was planning on using my SWALK card but I have put that in a very safe spot and can't find it. lol

This idea came from one of the many blogs I like to read but I can't remember with blog it was.  So my sincere apologies  to the very creative person who gave me the idea.  (if you are that person please let me know and I will let everyone know how clever you are.  Love the robot).

Challenge Entries

Here is the card I am entering in the Frosted Design Challenge. I realised later that I could enter it a competition by Made By Momo too.  So it is there too.

A few more card for my collection

Just wanted to show you some cards I made when I was "sorting out my scrapbooking stuff"   lol  Good thing hubby went out for the night.  :)

This card is for my niece.  Its her brithday on Valentine Days so I thought heart shaped flowers would be nice.  A friend let me borrow her Peachy Keen stamps.  They are so cute, I have to get some of these.

Something to help my children with their chores

Since I have started working I am finding it hard to keep up with the house work like most working mums so I decided to make up some reminders around the house to encourage my children.
 (ages 8, 5 1/2, 3 1/2) with a few little chores around the house.

Made two of these for both of the bathrooms. To encourage clothes in the basket and not next to the basket on the floor.

This one is my favourite.  These are the colours of my bathroom,  each child has there own colour and have done since birth.  This way they (and I) know you has what towel and who hasn't hung it up.

This one is for my son's (31/2) room to remind him to put his toys in the toy box.

This one is for the girls room or the lounge room because most often thats where most of the toys are. lol
I still have a couple more to do.  Hopefully the older two will get a kick out of it and find it funny enough to actually do their chores  and also might take my nagging down to a minimum.  lol

They are all A5 size and laminated.  Words printed of the computer and most of the pictures are Everyday Paper Dolls.

Tinkerbell

I borrowed  friends Tinkerbell and Friends Cartridge and had a great time playing around with it.  (Click here to see the other projects I have done with this cartridge)  I was going to make my friends DD something with Tinkerbell on to put in her room but some projects dont go according to plan so it didn't happen.

I did manage to make a beautiful birthday card for her and found a little jewellry box that she can decorate herself.  Here is the card.  And i ask what little girl doesn't like a little sparkle?

The Tinkerbell cartridge is so cute.  Love it.  Lots of glitter and sparkle - just the right bling for a fairy.

Flaunt It Fridays:FIF #10

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge at Flaunt It Fridays.  You have to use the lips from the Indie Arts Cartridge.  I fused mine together so it is actually a lip shaped card.

My husband and I are high school sweethearts and whenever he used to send my those cute little love notes it was sealed with a S.W.A.L.K   (sealed with a loving kiss).

A week has past. Were did that go.

I can not believe that over a week has passed and I have not blogged or even scrapbooked.  It has been so busy here with work and getting the kids ready for the new school year that scrapbooking hasn't even come into.

My girls.  Grade 3 and Grade 1.

My little man starting Kindy.

Now my work hours have changed so the night I am scrapbooking with friends has now turned into another working night. So I wont be able togo.  :( thats is really sad.   After all this doom and gloom about no scrapbooking night, I do have some good news.  The retreat that I had to cancel is now back on the agenda and I am going to that. I need to -have a lot of catching up to do.  2 weeks from today.  Woo Hoo.  It is going to be fantastic.  I cant wait. Hopefully some scrapbooking will happen before then.
