Lost scrapbooking moments

Tamika had her class play and she sings so loud you can hear her above all the other kids. She loves performing which surprised me because she can be quite shy. She also bought home her report and she did so well. Heaps of outstanding and is really good at maths. Nana gave her $5 for the bank.

I have had a couple of great scrapbooking moments come up the last couple of days but SOMEONE left the camera on (which was me) and I had no spare batteries. Not happy at all.

Tamika had her class party and it was a disco. It was great with flashing disco balls, lights, and heaps of balloons. It was only for an hour but all the kids had a great time and the parents who stayed behind did also. We had to dance with the rest of the kids. They did musical bobs, limbo, YMCA (of course) and let the kids do free dancing. It was fantastic. They handed out the glow sticks and because it was at 6.30pm the teachers blacked out all the windows with garbage bag. No camera.

The other moment was at the Community Christmas Party. Santa come and at 7.30 there is heaps of foam and bubbles that the kids run around in trying to find lolly bag. The girls were having heaps of fun and they got soaked. Christian wasn't to sure about it but was happy to watch. Again no camera but did have a mobile phone so lets just hope I am able to get some photos of that for a scrapbooking page. We might even end up in the paper again. If photos work will post them on.

Christmas tree is up.

The first of December has been and our tree is up. I am trying to start a new family tradition that on the 1st of December we decorate the tree as a family and Glen has to put the star on top (because he is the only one tall enough to do it lol) The girls loved decorating the tree and Christian really didn't care he was more then happy to sit and play with the beads on a string. He is so easy to please my little man.

I cant wait for Christmas. I am so organised this year so no rushing around the shops for me a week before Christmas.

We are having a quiet one here Christmas day with some friends and on the 27th it will be family. Plan is to eat, drink, play and be merry this Christmas. Hope everyones plan is the same.

Cheers Tab.

Life is good

I am sure you have all had those weeks where nothing, not a thing is going right. This is my week, washing is piling up because it is raining and I have no dryer. (it died and I didn't replace it because it is suppose to be sunny) So I have a clothes line filled with wet, clean clothes and a laundry filled with dirty ones. ;) Some of the animals got out and had a sleep over at Sunnyhurst Chalets, so I had to pick them up. Cottages to clean which is not happening and a husband coming down with a cold, 2 very tired girls with colds and a little man who appears to be getting teeth so not much sleep is happening.

But with all of these things and many more life is still pretty good. I have a family who loves me, have enough money to buy more milk until payday, and my health -I am not sick like the rest.

A bit sappy I know but my life is pretty good when you really think about it.

What a weekend.

What a weekend we have had. Matt and Michelle and the girls came down for a few days. It was really good seeing everyone and Glen was happy to have a drinking buddy. But having 5 children in the house and 4 of them being little girls are get awfully loud sometimes. :).

Went to me time today and did a bit of mosiacs. It was so easy. Just need to grout and then I can post a picture. Nothing exciting just a star with a blue background.
Glens not a big fan of my masterpiece. ;) I am happy with it.
Might get some more tiles and do number for the cottages. I am trying to make the cottages more homely and country cottage-ish. If you know what I mean. The next couple of weeks are a little slow so hopefully we might be able to get some more painting finished.

Family Christmas presents done

I came up to Perth this weekend to see a friend in hospital and to drop of Christmas presents. Am so excited that this year all the Christmas presents are done. Only have to get 2 more presents and then I have finished. Glen, mine, and the kids are all on layby so I just have to pick them up and wrap. DONE YIPPEE.

I am so looking forward to Christmas this year. Not much planned but we have some good friends spending the day with us so the kids can play and I can have lots of cuddles of the new baby. Lets just hope Christian dosen't get to jealous because he does even if I am gving Glen a hug. lol

This weekend is the Bridgetown Show and I am entering some of my pages into the scrapbooking section. I might enter a couple and see how I go - mayby one of each of the kids.

Melting moments

Last night I tries to have a bake up and all I manages to do was make a chocolate brownie and some melting moments. Lost interest which doesn't take long these days. lol With the melting moment I must have done something worng because they taste like you are eating butter mixed with flour. Not really very nive. Will have to try again with that one.

This weekend we had the BLUES IN BRIDGETOWN. And we had great weather for it - nice and sunny considering it had be raining all week down here. The markets were packed with heaps of different stall and of course fruit and vegies. You can tell we live in a hippy town when you see all the stall that were at the market. I brought my first hippy headband. Hopefully this will keep my hair out of my face when I am cleaning the cottages. Which I have four to do today.

Tamika's first assembly

Tamika's class had to run the assembly today. They did so well they did play about Hobyays., which are little green monsters that like to eat children. It was very funny. Tamika had to get up and say a few words and she was so clear and loud it was great - very proud of our schoolie. The class also sang a song "happy as Larry" I am sure she was the loudest out of the whole class. Next they got the whole assembly toget up and do it also. Nana came to watch. It was really good.

New haircuts

I finally took the kids to have haircuts. I think that this is the first time they have been to a salon, usually it is done at home by Aunty Bonnie or Anuty Kristine but travel down to Bridgetown for a hair cut is a big ask. They were very well behaved and Caitlin sat really still and listened to the hairdresser. Very proud of that considering she is always on the go at home.

Christian haircut is not very clear in the photo so here is another one. It is short at the front and long-ish at the front. So yes my little man has a mullet but I just couldn't cut his curls of at the back.

Scrapbooking Shelf

I finally got some batteries for my camera. Being a scrapbooker I have missed some great pages and the kids birthday photos were mostly taken on the mobile phone. It will be interesting to see how they turn out when I get them printed. I told everyone that Glen got me this great scrapbooking shelf and here is now the photo of what it looks like.

Its a great shelf. The actual shelves are adjustable so it can be used for paper storage or for bigger things like my punches. I had just mentioned to Glen a couple before he got the shelf if he could make one for me. His parents were going to leave it behind. Glad he grabbed it.

My little fashion designer

I just had to show you all this great photo of Caitlin. Our fashion designer of the future.

Only my darling Caitlin could come up this. lol. What a cutie!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Tamika

It was Tamika's birthday last thursday and she had a party on Saturday. Just a small party with four friends, herself and Caitlin. They made there own lolly bags and played pass the slipper and had a treasure hunt. A good time was had by all. Tamika got lots a great stuff and she got to wear her party dress that mum made.

We have been busy the last few weekends with everything really. The cottages, the cleaning, the house , the kids - I suppose life in general has been busy. At least the school holidays are nearly here and Tamika can have a big rest she is getting pretty tired from School which also means very grumpy and sulky. A good rest is what she needs.

More ME TIME

I need another day on the week for 'me time'. (What mum doesn't). I am going away in October who NO KIDS. I cant wait. Only five weeks to go and that means only 5 more saturdays. I am leaving friday and coming home sunday afternoon. So have to start training DH to look after Christian. He's opinion " I am untrainable" lol

I tried to sew a pencil roll. For those who are wondering here is a link for the pencil roll http://pinkchalkstudio.com/blog/2007/03/23/teaching/ What a disaster. I made it too short so the pencils don't fit. Better luck next time.

I have finished Alison album and she loves it which is great. I am now starting glen and mine's wedding album. Hoping to get it done my our 10th wedding anniversary which is next march. Doesn't time fly when you are having fun. lol

Next birthday is Tamika's 6th. She is having a craft party so off to spotlight for supplies. What a shame I have to go to spotlight. ;). Will let you know how it goes.

Caitlin turns 3

A lot has happened since my last entry. (It has been nearly three months) Caitlin turn 3 and mum gave her a party in a box. She had a great time with the party and watching the new barbie movie 'Maraposa'. (I think)

Caitlin has been enrolled in school for next year. She is so excited. "After Christmas" she keeps saying because that is what we have told her.

Glen got me this great shelf for my scrapbooking room and I have only just sorted out all of my stuff. It is fantastic.

I went to my first "ME TIME" on monday. This is down at the community centre - it cost $10 and this includes creche for three hours. We made notice boards and then made more for home. They are so easy. All you need is a staple gun, material, wood, waddingand ribbon. It takes about 15min to make when you know what you are doing. So dont be surprised if your kids end up with them for Christmas this year. I am planning on making some more for the cottages.
I have also learnt how to make pillowcases but for some reason I cant find my good scissors or my pins. Another big project is recovering a couch for #4. That one might take a while as I need about 12m (at least) of material.

Two big news from us:-
1) Christian is walking. He has been doing that for a few weeks now and never really had the learning to walk thing just got up and went. He is so clever my little man.
2) We now have a linen services - which means no more washing cottage sheets. YIPEE.

Speck again soon.

Here are some photos and one layouts. More to follow soon.

Check out the photo of Tamika - she had a pj day at school. I really like the photo, no cheesey smile.

Handmade Easter Cards

Here are some cards I have been making. The easter ones were made for the people staying with us during easter with a little box of easter eggs. (From the easter bunny of course).

Have started making a lot of my cards now using all the scraps from scrapbooking.

And the younger two

Some more pages - just to get started. One of my favourite with Christian and the many faces new pulls at 4 months. I tried to copy the seat he is sitting on and best of all these pages were done using only my supply. Very proud that I didn't have to buy anything.

Caitlin in the bed girl bed. I made piglet and pooh bear by tracing around out of a book and piecing it together.

Now you have one from all the kids. Hopefully I will be able to put one on from "my book about me "soon. I will work on my photos so you can see a better picture on my blog.

Cheers Tabatha.

Rainbows Rainbows Rainbows

This is my latest project (I finished it this morning) - Thanks Sammy for doing the photos for me. I have hunted for months to find the right paper. I finally found it at Spotlight. The little photo album are other photos of her birthday but they didn't really go with the paper but wanted to include them.

Hello to you all,

Hello Family and friends,

I have started this blog to show off all of my scrapbooking. Everyone is too have away to show in person so this is the best I can do. So keep coming back and checking my latest projects. Please comment.

As many of you know this is a passion of mine. I would love to run my own scrapbooking shop here in Bridgetown. Maybe I can make my millions that way.

Cheers to you all.
