Mickey Ice Cream

There were a couple of challenges coming up that I thought I might enter this layout it.  One is from the Disney/Pixer Blog hop which happen last week.  Layout can be entered into Crafty Chic's Blog and I have also linked it to Love to Crop challenge on using scraps. This page was done mostly with scraps and my daughter even found the black mickeys shapes in my stash.  The bottom is for the journalling.

You just cant go to Disneyland and not have a Mickey mouse Ice cream.  Yummo.

Leaves the fun up to us.

Over at Love To Crop there is a challenge for fall.  Here is my entry.

We were having a BBQ and all these leaves were on the deck.  So they had to sweep the deck. The only time I could get them to do that. lol  The kids got it all in a huge pile and ready set go......  they all jumped.  They played in it for ages, jumping - scooping up the leaves - jumping again.

Better then any party games.

Party time

Today we had the party but with me being really busy, we only had a couple of friends over  It was going to be at the park but it rained and rained.  So a change of plan was needed.  Since it was at a park I didn't organise any games figureing the kids can just play so when it rained I had nothing planned to entertain the kids coming to the party.  So I grap 5 door hangers out of my supply and covered them.

So these were put on the table with heaps of stuff and told to go for it.  They had a blast.  These are the results.  A bunch of very talented up and coming scrappers.

Happy Birthday Tamika

I cant believe my baby is turning 9.  Where did that time go?  So since me circut had a little warm up with the card.  I thought I might make a few thing for the little gathering we are having tomorrow.  Boy did the cricut has a workout today.

We made lolly bags for tomorrow.  Using the cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and more.  We also used Everyday paper dolls to design a picture of  her friends on the lolly bags.  (hope that makes sense lol).   I have enter this in the challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2.  You just have to use the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more or similar to make a 3d container.

Another project involved the use of some vinyl (I love that stuff).  This was to decorate a ripstick for my girl.  Now she can tell the difference when she learns now to ride it and hits the skate park.

Just something simple,  red is a pretty hard colour to match without it looking to Christmasy.  lol.  The birthday card doesn't match any of the presents but match my daughter.  Lots of bright colours and butterflies,  very spring.  Her favourite time of the year. Probably because its her birthday month.  :)

Maybe, just maybe my scrappy mojo has returned.  Everyone keeps there fingers crossed for me.

It's been awhile.

Well today I did it.....  I opened my big mouth about making a card for a workmate who is leaving.  And it has to be done by tonight.  Argh.  Nothing like leaving it to the last minute.  So for some inspiration I check into the scrapping world, one that I have not be into for a long time.  So I found a sketch and unleased my poor cricut machine.  ( my poor baby has been sitting in the corner just waiting ever so patiently).

The sketch is from Lets Capture These Sketches. Here is the sketch.

And here is the card I made.  Colour not that good on the photo for some reason.  Must be out of practice.  lol

The card is done and I really enjoyed myself doing this, who knows maybe I might be able to squeeze in some scrapbooking in the close future.

Happy Birthday Christian.

My Darling son turn 4 at the end of May.  He is growing into a very cute and very funny little man.  The stuff he comes out with is priceless and my best one is when he comes into me in the morning,  "Your the best mum in the whole world"  he says, followed by an awesome cuddle.  What a great way to start the day.

This year he got a few buzz and woody things so I made his a card using the Toy Story.

But the best part of the day was jumping in the leaves with his sisters and Brianna.  They love it.

Scrapping with the kids

With easter just around the corner the kids wanted to give their friends something for easter.  Money is very tight at our house at the moment so buying easter eggs for everyone was out of the question.  So this is what I did.  I mange to get hold of some little bags, cut out all the bunnies, grass and printed the Happy Easter off the computer and after dinner away we went.

Here are the kids having a go and enojying themselves.  I might have to think of a few things like this to do over the school holidays.  I even had hubby bagging up all the little eggs for the little bags.  A whole family effect here.

Here is the end result.  Drum roll please.....

They look fantastic and the kids had a ball making these.  The little rabbit is off Everyday Paper Dolls and the grass is off Winnie the Pooh.  I think my mojo might be returning.  Woo Hoo.

Here is a close up of one.  I tried to get a good one but my camera had other ideas and would work right.
There is a white bunny in there behind the grass.  ( you cant see it very well).

I have also decided to enter this in  with My Sheri Crafts and all you need is bunnies.

Thanks for looking.

Rhonda's Easter Blog Hop.

Welcome to Rhondas blog hop.  If you have come from Minta Creations you are in the right spot if you would like to start at the beginning then click here

i finally made it.  Sorry about the delay in posting.  I am from Australia and forgot about the time difference.  lol.  The beautiful work that everyone has done is fantastic.  So many great ideas out there.  This is my creation for the hop.  I have used, what I think are, pretty common cricut cartridges.

My cricut cartridges are very limited  so most of my have been done from what I call essential cartridges because they have heaps to offer.  The rabbit is from everyday paper dolls.  The prefect fit for an easter bunny.  It has been ink around the sides with  rose pink distressing ink.  The grass has also been inked with pine needles.  I love my distressing ink at the moment it is awesome stuff.

The basket is from Tags and Bags.  I think it is the nut cup one.  It is on my gypsy so I dont have the book for it. The easter eggs are some stickers that I had in my stash.  They are the same ones I used for my handle as well.

Thanks for looking and thanking again Rhonda for letting me join in on the fun.  Hope everyone has enough time before easter to make some of the exciting projects.  Keep well.

Before and After

I was going through some pages that I had done a few years ago, you know pre-cricut, and decided to change some of them that I really didn't like.  This one of my son was one of those pages,  I felt like the  cute photo as disappearing into the page.

Here is the BEFORE PAGE.

Here is the AFTER PAGE.  Same photo just a little different and I like this one heaps better.

I love the star on this one and it is a little more boyish.  The stars and the circle have come of Accents Essentials, which is a cartridge I haven't used in ages so I am going to enter this layout into Die Cuttin Divas Challenge and Always Crafting with Stephanie.

At Die Cuttin Divas you have to use a cartridge that hasn't been used for a while and a picture on that cart that you haven't used.  For me thats the stars and the circle was cut using Accents Essential.

At Always Crafting with Stephanie it has to be a winter layout.

Thanks for looking.

Jitterbuggin' Challenge

This weeks challenge at Jitterbuggin' Challenge  is rainbows and butterflies.  A very spring idea.  lol

This is my entry.

I use the Winnie the Pooh and Friends cartridge.  Still undecided whether to make it a birthday card or a new baby card.  Any suggestions??

Welcome to my first guest designing at My Sheri Crafts

A huge thank you to Sheri at My Sheri Crafts for letting me feature on her blog.  This weeks theme is St Patricks Day.  I thought about it for days to come up with something a little different.  I even stopped looking at other people blogs so I wouldn't get confused with all the talent in the scrapbooking blog world.  And there is lots out there.

Having my new cartridge (Winnie the Pooh and Friends) arrive earlier on in the week I was just dying to get into it.  So this is what I have come up with.

I used Glimmermist to spray the speckled effect behind Winnie the Pooh.  His hat and shirt  are made shiny using Glossy Accents.  Diamond stickles to make sparkle.

Using the Paper Doll Dress Ups cartridge I made some Money Bags to help send good fortune to some family and friends.  Inside are chocolate gold coins.

I have seen these sort of 'lolly bags' at several blogs and think they are fantastic. The clovers used in these are the same ones I used for the stencils for Winnie the Pooh - thats why they are glimmermist-ed too.

For something a little different this St Patricks Day. This my first attempt at these Tri-Fold Shutter Cards. (Click here for instructions on how to do these sort of cards).  They are really easy.

Just keep following the rainbow until you hit that pot of gold.  A little Peachy Keen to make the little man a little cheeky. lol

Good luck and good fortune to all this St Patrick's Day.

So pop over to My Sheri Crafts, have a look around and had your take on St Patricks Day.  Love to see what everyone comes up with.

More Surprises

This week has been a tough week filled with heaps of bad news. Hopefully next week will be a little better. But some good things have arrrived  which is certainly what I needed. I had another win this week from Cheap Chirpin Tuesdays.
Some friends give us a heads up on cheap and different scrapbooking products available in Australia.
This was the prize for February.

You make a comment and are in the drawn to win that price.   The trick is that you have to comment on both sites and every Tuesday.  They have some awesome ideas so head over there and check it out.  Click here for Chloe and Her Clip On Koalas and here for  Me 'n' Miss Pink Cricut.

Thanks Chloe and Carlene.  All of these will be well used especially the rollar.  Love it already.

Another good news (have you seen my new button in the top left hand corner of my blog) is that I am going to be the

GUEST DESIGNER
 for this week over at

That will be up later on today.  I was so excited and had heaps of fun sorting out projects for that one.  Cant wait to show you all so stay tuned.

Imaginisce Challenge.

Over at Imaginisce blog they are having a march madness.  The rules are:- use Melinda's sketch using 75% of Imaginisce products, 3 patterned papers, 3 colours, and 3 embellishments.

Here is my entry for the competition.  I have used the  Imaginisce range called Enchanted.

The word 'precious' is from Once upon a Princess cartridge and I used the glossy accents over the top.  The flowers around the bottom have be cut out of the same paper range.

This is for my new niece,  hopefully will make an appearance into the world soon.

I love this sketch so I turned it into a layout as well.  These are my two princess,  they are a little older the photo,  (thats how far behind with my albums....  lol)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #64

Cricut Cardz's challenge for this week is to make a book mark.   This is my entry for it.

The book shape came from the Learning Curve Cartridge and the heart and 'dream' from Gyspy wanderings (I think).  I had it sitting on my gypsy for awhile before cutting it all out today.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #50

For the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #50 you have to use some sort of tree or branch.

This is my entry.  Another page from my holiday to America.

We visited Palm Springs when we were driving from San Diego to Vegas.  We caught the tram upto the top and had a good look around.  We were only there for a couple of hours and wished we could stay there a little longer.

The trees are cut from Camping Cartridge and the title are stickers from Creative Memories that I had in my stash from years ago.

Frosted Design Challenge #18

I was going to enter this into the Frosted Design Friday Challenge this week is about using plain cardstock.  No patterned paper allowed. But I ran out of the green for the leaves and had to go hunting for some.  I have still added the link because there is some great layouts to check out.

The leaves I used were from Paper Doll Dress - ups. (I think) Dinosaurs.  It was a lot of fun sorting out the all the leaves.  It took ages.  :-)

The title was done using gyspy font.  Love the welding function on the gyspy - you have to try it if you haven't.

Thanks for looking.
